The Madhya Pradesh High Court has allowed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to release the NEET UG 2025 results across India. However, the court barred the NTA from announcing results for 11 exam centres in Indore. These centres faced a power outage on May 4, the exam day.
A student filed a petition, claiming the power cut affected her performance. Earlier, the court had paused the NEET UG 2025 results announcement nationwide until it reviewed the case. On Friday, Justice Subodh Abhyankar changed that order after hearing arguments from Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and Deputy Solicitor General Himanshu Joshi.
The judges noted that only 11 Indore centres were impacted. They saw no reason to delay results for students in other locations. The court stressed the need to release results promptly so students don’t miss the counselling process.
The petitioner’s lawyer argued that a delayed re-exam could cause the student to miss counselling.

The court ruled in favor of the NTA, stating:
“The respondents may declare results for all centres except the 11 Indore centres affected by the power failure.” The NTA must submit details about these centres in their response. The court scheduled the next hearing for Monday, May 19.
Meanwhile, the NTA is investigating over 250 students for cheating in the NEET UG 2024 exam.
