Trade Experts React
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh praised the film’s performance and called the opening weekend encouraging. In a note shared on Instagram, he said the positive response to this female-led film gives the makers confidence to continue the franchise.
He also pointed out that mass circuits were dominated by Border 2, which limited growth in some areas. However, metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Bengaluru showed healthy occupancy. According to him, weekday hold will be crucial for the film’s long-term performance.
Janki Bodiwala On Joining Mardaani 3
Actor Janki Bodiwala, who plays a cop in the film, shared how she landed the role. Speaking to Mid-Day, she revealed that she was in Mumbai for unrelated work when she received a call from casting director Shanoo Sharma.
“I went to YRF Studios, auditioned, and later got a call saying the makers liked my performance. I couldn’t believe that a trip for other work turned into a Yash Raj Films project,” she said.
