India will host the India AI Impact Summit 2026 from February 16 in New Delhi. The event will bring together global leaders, policymakers, startups and researchers to discuss inclusive and responsible innovation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. Through this summit, India aims to strengthen its role in shaping global technological progress.
The summit theme, Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya — welfare for all, happiness for all — highlights a strong focus on people-centric development. Moreover, the government wants innovation to support social good and sustainable growth.
Expo to Highlight Innovation and Global Collaboration
Alongside the summit, the India AI Impact Expo 2026 will showcase technology in action. The Expo will feature more than 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations. These will focus on three key areas — People, Planet and Progress.
In addition, over 600 startups and 13 country pavilions will participate in the Expo. Global technology firms, research institutions, universities and government bodies will also take part. As a result, the Expo will act as a major platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Focus on Road Safety, Jobs, Judiciary and Agriculture
On the first day, the summit will focus on improving road safety through data-driven solutions. Experts will discuss how technology can help predict risks, reduce accidents and improve mobility. Meanwhile, another session will examine how innovation is reshaping education, employment and future skills.
The summit will also address reforms in the judicial system. Experts will explain how technology can improve case management, legal research and access to justice. Additionally, agriculture will remain a key focus area. Speakers will explore how smart solutions can support climate-resilient and sustainable farming.
Global South at the Centre of AI Dialogue
Importantly, this summit marks the first global technology summit of its kind to be hosted in the Global South. The event builds on consultations held across several global cities. Therefore, the discussions will reflect diverse perspectives and shared responsibility.
Through this initiative, India aims to promote inclusive growth, social development and practical solutions for global challenges.
